"BioShock" and "Oblivion" in one package? Yes, please

A new retail bundle coming from Bethesda Softworks and 2K Games combines "The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion" and "BioShock." For sheer gaming bang for your buck, you could do worse than this combo of arguably the best game of 2006 with the top title from 2007.

The importance of writing in games

Judging from the handful of comments I got on my "Killzone 2" review, I clearly value story, dialogue and plot more than some of my fellow gamers. With that in mind, here are five games whose excellent writing has had me staying up past my bedtime and blowing off household chores. (Note: Don't consider this an exhaustive list, or even a Top 5.)
